MANOY —NEWMAN. aNL'SL'AL interest attached to the marriage of Miss May Newman and Mr. L. Manoy (celebrated, at the Jewish Synagogue in Wellington on October 18), as the bride Is so well known in musical circles for her delightful singing. She is the only daughter of Mr and Mrs B. Newman, mid Mr L. Manoy is the third son of Mr A. Manoy, of Motueka, Marlborough. •The bride, who was given away by her father", looked charming in a gown of ivory Liberty satin draped with lace and nnbroidcred in pearls. A wreath of orange blossom secured her tulle veil, jnd "white carnations and lilies of the volley composed her bouquet. The only bridesmaid. Miss Manoy, wore pale pink crepe de chine, diaped with ninon, a pink
hat with roses. The bridegroom’s gift was a gold locket and a bouquet of shaded cyclamen. Two children, who were also in attendance, Marjory and Harry Arndt, looked picturesque in white, the little girl having a poke bonnet lined with roses. Mr S. Jacobs was best man, and the eanopy was held by Messrs IT. and R. Manoy, O, Newman, and T. Mason. After the wedding reception Mr and Mrs L. Manoy left by motor for their honeymoon. Mrs B. Newman wore black marquisette over pale blue eharmeuse, black toque with blue plumes; Mrs Harris, green striped crepe de chine, and green hat; Mrs Arndt, green Shantung, and black hat with roses. Mrs L. Manoy’s travelling dress was of blue cloth, with pipings of emerald green, and with it she wore a motor bonnet of green silk.
