Lord Islington is staying at the H.B. Club until tomorrow, when he wiH be the guest of Mr. G. P. Ho line Uy at

Otatara, and be present at the H.B. Jockey e Inb meeting next week. Personal. lady Carroll is in Napier in order to attend the ceremony of laying the foundation-stone of'the llukarere Girls’ School. Mr. ami Mrs. .Herbert Colepian are visiting Airs. Coleman, Waititirau. Miss Carter (Wellington) is visiting IM rs. Begg. v "** ‘Miss Cargill lias returned to PalmerSton. Mrs. H.
