The Hutt Golf Club played their monthly button competition, which included the first qualifying round for tho championship to-day, and it. resulted in a win for P. C. Freetli, with the excellent net score of 74. The following are the detailed results: —P. C. Freeth 74, W. F. Wynyard 76, R. O. Chisney 78, R. Abbott 80, G. A. Pearson 81, 11. R. N. Balneavis 81, J. R. Callender 81; W. A. Stephens 83; C. H. Treadwell 84.
