ALTERED CONSTITUENCIES.

THE NEW BOUNDARIES. WELLINGTON, this day. Following are the proposed boundaries of electoral districts as gazetted. Written objections will be received to noon on September 13, and heard next day, for the North Island at Wellington, and for the South Island at Christchurch: — BAY OF ISLANDS. Bay of Islands district comprises the counties of Mangonui, Whangaroa, Bay of Islands, whole of Hokianga County with the exception of Waipoua riding, and includes also those portions, of Maunuwairua and Hikurangi ridings of Whangarei county, lying to the north of the Wairua river; also the whole of the Otonga riding, Hikurangi and Mania road districts, and Hikurangi town district. KAIPARA. Kaipara district comprises the existing Kaipara electoral district, also Waipoua riding of Hokianga Copnty, and that portion of Kumeu riding lying to the east of the Waikoukou river, and north of Auckland-Helensville railway. MARSDEN. Marsden district comprises the existing Marsden electorate district, less portions now taken in by Bay of Islands electorate, and includes also Mahurangi, Puhoi and Warkworth Ridings, the Mahurangi East-road District, and Warkworth town district. This district also includes Mokohinau Island. WAITEMATA. Waiternata district comprises the existing Waiternata electoral district, less the portions now included in Marsden and Kaipara electoral districts hereinbefore described, and includes that portion of the Waitakerei ridinir lying to the north of the Aueklaad-HelcnaviHa railways This district laeludea Uw fid-

lowing islands: Kawau, Great Barrier, Little Barrier, Motutekekete, Mouterekareka, Tiri Tiri, and Beau Roek. EDEN. Eden district comprises the existing Eden electoral district, less that portion of the Waitakerei riding included in the Waiternata electoral district already described, less that portion of Mount Eden Borough bounded on the east by Mount Eden-road, on the south by Valley-road, on the west by Sherborne-road, and cn the north by View-road; also less that portion of Mount Eden Borough lying to the east of Mount Eden-road; less also that portion of Epsom Road District bounded towards the north generally by Almorah road, Seccombe’s-road, " and Buckland-road, towards the east by Epsom road, towards the south by the southern boundary of the said road district, and towards the west by Mount Eden Borough; less also that portion of One-tree Hill Road district bounded on the north-east by the Great South-road on the south-east by Market-road, and on the west by Epsom-road. AUCKLAND WEST. Auckland West district boundaries re main unchanged. AUCKLAND CENTRAL. Auckland Central district comprises the existing Auckland Central electoral district, and also includes that portion of the city of Auckland bounded towards the east by Queen-street, towards the south generally by West-street, Bittstreet, Edwin-street, Montague-street, and Gundry-street; and towards the north-west generally by Karangahaporoad. AUCKLAND EAST. Auckland East district comprises the existing Auckland East electoral district, less that portion of the city of Auckland now included in Auckland Central electoral district, as hereinbefore described, and includes that portion of Grafton riding lying to the north of Alexandra-street, New North-road, and Brown-street. GREY LYNN. Grey Lynn district comprises the existing Grey Lynn electoral district, less that portion of Grafton riding now included in Auckland East electoral district as hereinbefore described, and includes that portion of Mount Eden Borough bounded towards the north by A iew-roadi, on the east by Mount Edenroad, on the south by Valley-road, and on the west by Sherbourne-road. PARNELL. Parnell district comprises the whole of tae Parnell riding, the boroughs of Parnell and Newmarket, also that portion of Mount Eden Borough bounded on the west by Mount Eden-road, and on the south by Owen-road; also that portion of Epsom-road district lying to the west generally of Seccombe’s-road, Buckland*road, and Epsom-road, and north of Owen’s-road; also that portion of Onetree Hill road district lying to the north of Fountain-street. MANUKAU. Manukau district comprises the whole of Tamaki riding, Ellerslie town district, borough of Onehunga, that portion of One-tree Hill road district, less the portion now ineluded in the Parnell electoral district hereinbefore described-, includes that portion of the Epsom road district bounded towards the north by Owen’sroad, towards the east by Epsom-road, towards the south by Whau riding, ami towards the west by Mount Eden Borough ; also that portion of Mount Eden Borough lying to the east of Mount Edenroad and south of Owen’s-road, and also includes Mourtt Roskill road district, less tliat portion lying to the north of Mount All>ert-road, and now included in the Eden electoral district hereinbefore described; also that portion of Otahuhu road district lying between Great Southroad and Tamaki river. This district also includes the following islands: —Rakino, Motutapu, Waiheke, Brown's, Motuihi, Pakatoa, Rotoroa, Poaui, and Valuaki.

FRANKLIN. Franklin district comprises the whole of the Otahuhu riding of Manukau county, less that portion of the Otahuhu road district now included in the Manukau electoral district hereinbefore described; includes also the following ridings iu Manukau county:—Ho wick, Papakura, Awitu, Waiuku, and the outlying portion of Maungatawhiri, the following road districts of Manukau county:—Mauku, Karaka, Opaheke, Paparata, Pokeno, and Mercer; also that portion of the Pukekohe East road district lying to the west of the Great vSoutb-road, and north of the road running through sections 26, 30, 15, and 17 of Blocks XV. and XVI., Drury survey district. RAGLAN. Raglan district comprises the road districts in Manukau County of Pukekohe West, Maungatawhiri, and that portion of Pukekohe East Road district lying to the south of the road running through Sections 26, 30, 15 and 12, Blocks XV. and XVI. of Drury Survey district, the whole of Raglan County with the exception of the Pirongia Riding of that County, the Kirikiriroa, Tamahere, and Cambridge Ridings of Waikato County, that portion of Newcastle Riding lying to the north of the coach road from Whatawhata to Hamilton. The town districts of Huntly, Ngaruawahia, Pukekohe, and Raglan are included in this district. THAMES. Thames district comprises the Counties of Coromandel and Thames, Whangtmarino Riding of Waikato County, Huntly Riding less Huntly Town district, and including that portion of Ohinemuri County lying to the west of Thames (or Waihou) River. This district also includes the Thames borough and the islands of Great Mercury, Cuvier, and Slipper. OHINEMURI. Ohinemuri district comprises that portion of Ohinemuri County lying to the east of Thames (or Waihou) River, that portion of Katikati riding of Tauranga County lying to the north of County road from Te Arolia to the mouth of the Terereatukahia stream, and running through Blocks I. and IL, Aongotete survey district, and that portion of Te Aroha riding of Piako County lying to the north of Blocks 11. and 11., Wairere Survey district. Te Aroha Borough is included in this district. WAIKATO. Waikato district comprises the whole of Waipa county, less that portion of Newcastle riding north of Coach-road, from Whatawhata to Hamilton, hereinbefore described, now included in Raglan electoral district, includes Maungatautari and Putaruru ridings of Matamata county, that portion of West Taupo county within the existing Tan ranga electoral district, Matakowhai and Kawhia ridings of Kawhia county, Pirongia riding of Raglan county, and includes part of Terau-a-moa riding of Waitomo county lying to the north generally of Otorohanga riding and Ngutunui-road leading to the village of Terau-a-moa. The town districts of Kihikihi, Te Awamutu, Leamington, Kawhia, Frankton, and the boroughs of Hamilton and Cambridge are included in this district. TAURANGA. Tauranga district comprises the whole of Piako county, less that portion of Te Aroha riding now included in Ohinemuri electoral district hereinbefore described, includes ridings of Matamata, Taotaoroa and Patetere of Matamata county, the ridings of Te Puke, Wai mapu, Te Puna, and that part of Katikati riding not included in Ohinemuri electoral district hereinbefore described, that portion of Rotorua county lying to the west of Block XIV., Maketu survey district, Blocks 11. and VI. Rotoiti survey districts, tin-nee skirting eastern shore of Lake Rotorua to northernmost corner of Ngapuna block, thence by north-eastern boundary of the said block to the old road, thence by that road to the town of Rotorua, as defined by the Rotorua Town Act, 1(107, thence south easterly and south westerly by the south eastern and south-western boon daries of the said town to Tangatarui, thence by right line due west to w**»tern boundary of Rotorua county. This district includes the borough of Tauranga, town of Rotorua, and Motiti Island. BAY OF PLENTY. Bay of Plenty district comprises the existing electoral district of Bay of Plenty, less that portion of Rotorua county now included in Tauranga clec-

toral district, hereinbefore described, and also less that portion of Patutaki riding lying to west of Waipaoa River and north of Waikakariki 'Stream and Oka* huatiu No. 2 Block, and includes Maketu riding of Tauranga County. This district includes Opotiki town district. TAUMARUNUI. •’’.uiinarunui district comprises ridings of Taharoa. Awaroa, Tekuri, and Waiharakcke of Kawhia County, the whole of Awakino and Oh ura Counties, the whole of Waitonio County, less that portion of Teraumoa riding now included in the electoral district of Waikato, that portion of West Taupo County lying south-west of a right line drawn from Pureora to the mouth of the Waihora Stream. \\ aihi. Tikorahgi, Urenui, and Mok an ridings of Clifton County, and that part of Ngatimaru riding already in the existing electoral district of Taumarunui. that portion of Wait/ra West Road district, lying to the west of Waitara River including the village of lluirangi and north of the cross road to Mataitawa-road, thence by the existing Taranaki electoral di /rict to Mahoetahi road, and thence by that road to !the sea. ’This district includes the boroughs of Te Kuiti.
