TAKAPUMA WINTER MEETING.

CONCLUDING DAY. The concluding day a racing in connection with the Takapuua Jockey Gleb’s Winter Meeting took place on the clmb’s course at the North Shore on Thursday afternoon. The weaeher was line, and the attendance good, jrbile the track was in excellent order. As on the opening day. the arrangements were excellent, everything passing off without a bitch. The atewards met after the first race to consider a complaint lodged by the owner of Misere Ouvert against -the jockey C. ‘BrAwn. for not fulfilling an engagement to ride that mare in the Pupuke Handicap, and after bearing statements fined Brown £2. Miss Stella winning at the finish from Manurere, which, after being badly placed in the early stages, came with a fast run and got within threeparts of a length of the winner Tn a g > nt lotting race for the Britannia Handicap, Electrakoff was made a better favourite than Domino, while Master Wairiki and Sea Elf were also well backed. The two favourites fought out the finish, Domino outstaying Eleetrakoff and winning by a long neck, with Epsom Lass, which made up a lot of ground in the last -three furlongs, third. In a field of twelve that contested the Maiden Hurdles Blue Mount was made -a <>etter favourite than Captain Paul, others to find support being Miss Explosion. Lienbies. and Castle Blaney. The favourite was •tn the lead for ’he greater part of the journey, bat failed to see it out. Miss Explosion winning from Denbies, with the favourite third. * Jack Delaral carried nearly as much money as any of the other two together, and justified the confidence placed in him •by winning as he liked, and scoring his fifth consecutive victory. In the coorlmfing event -Rezain wound u? favourite, bat Wee Olga. Captain SouH. aeid Coromandel were all nearly as well supported.
