May 5. Stratford lias indeed been gay this Week, if farewell parties can be called guy, and, the weather being glorious, everything yvent with a swing. Entire Party.

Mrs. S. Rorritt .gave a delightful euchre party in honour of Mrs. DillonCarbery and her daughter (Mrs. Uni*cke), who leave next' Wednesday for

Europe. The hostess received her guests in a becoming gown of heliotrope shantung; Mrs. Dilloii-Ca.rbcry .wore a handsome lilac .poplin costume, black hat; Mrs. Uniacke, pale grey silk Princess robe, large hat. Amongst the guests were: Mrs. Fox, dark green, silk dress; Mrs. Fookes, dark blue costume, blue toque; Mrs. Crawshaw, grey coat and skirt; Miss Crawshaw, pale grey costume, large hat with roses; Mrs. Rennell, black and white silk robe, blaek hat; Mrs. Webster, blue costume, burnt straw hat; Mrs. Hogg, blue braided dress, black velvet costume; Mrs. Stubbs, brown eoat and skirt, hat en suite; Mrs. Paget, electric blue cloth braided costume, white crinoline hat: Mrs. Johnston, cream cloth coat and skirt, large black hat; Mrs. Mupro, brown silk robe, brown turban.; Mrs, Wake, mauve watered silk with handsome lace trimmings, hat to match; Mrs. Hobbs,; Miss, Hobbs; Mrs. Grant, dark green coat and skirt; Mrs. W. G. Malone, blue striped linen, blue hat; Mrs. Young, blue Russian coat and skirt, braided in black; Mrs. and Miss Dingle; Mrs. Copping, white serge costume; Mrs. O. Curtis black silk; Mrs. Glasgow, blue cloth eoat and skirt; Miss G. James; Miss Orbell. pale blue, black toque; Miss Glynes; Mrs. Budge, Paris lace frock, large hat; Mrs. Richards, white muslin; Mrs. Robison, white costume, large green hat; Mrs.. Raikes, blue eoat and skirt; Mrs. Menzies, white costume; Miss Walker: Miss Fussell, blue Norfolk coat and skirt; Mrs. Anderson, red dress, black velvet toque; Mrs. C. Penn and others. The first prize was won by Miss Orbell, with Mrs. Hobbs second.

Rinking Party. The private skating party at the theatre was a huge success; Amongst the linkers I noticed: Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Robinson; Mr. and Mrs. Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Stubbs. Mrs. Chinchin, Mr. and Mrs. I’niacke' Dr. Paget, Dr. Carbery, Mr. and Mrs. Wilkie, Mr. and Miss James, Mr. and Miss Crawshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Rennell, Mrs. Harrison, Miss Walker Mr. and Mrs. Curtis., Lieut. Lampin, Lieut. Cradale, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Jones, Misses Wake.

Bridge. Mrs. E. C. Robinson gave a jolly bridge party as a farewell to Mrs. Uniacke on Wednesday evening, the first prize being won by Mrs. Stubbs, and the second by Mrs. Uniacke.

On Friday evening Mrs. Stubbs gave a delightful bridge party to bid an revoir to Mrs: Carbery and Mrs. Vniacke, the card room being most tastefully decorated with chrysanthemums. Mrs. Stubbs received her friends in a becoming froek of blue satin cloth, trimmed with copper passementerie. The. guests included: Raikes, black silk glaee, trimmed with blaek velvet; Mrs. Vniacke black sill* chiffon taffeta, sequin trimming on decolletage; Mrs. Wake, heliotrope chiffon, matrix ornaments; Mrs. Budge, black velvet with, handsome pale blue scarf; Mrs. E. C. Robinson, white tucked net over satin; Mrs. Grant, dark green, silk lace on bodice; .'Mrs. Paget, cream lace over silk, lace oh decolletage; Mrs. Richards, white taffeta; Mrs. Glasgow lilac poplin, point lace on corsage; Mrs. Hogg, pale- sapphire blue Empire gown, laco searf; Mrs. Crawshaw, ipale grey watered silk; Mrs. Menzies, cream silk; Messrs. E. C. Robinson, Crawshaw, Uniacke, Raikes, Budge, Dr. Menzies Mr. Richards, Mr., Grant. The first prize was won by Mrs. Grant, the second by Mrs. Vniacke, and the third by Mrs. Crawshaw. ,
