April 29. Personal. Nothing but downpours this week, so, needless to say, some social entertainments were unavoidably postponed. Herr Ossipoff gave a delightful concert on Saturday night. If the audience was' somewhat scanty, it was, however, most apprecia five. Mrs. O. Curtis gave a small afternoon tea on Monday afternoon. Mrs. T. C. Fookes received some friends on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Carbery gave an afternoon party for Mrs. Rennell, who left for Sydney at the beginning of the week. . Mrs. Budd was at home on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Uniacke had a sewing bee on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. A. W. Budge gave a bridge party on Friday night, Mrs. Stubbs securing the prize with the highest seore. Mr. and Mrs. Rennell left for Wellington, en route for Sydney, by the train on Wednesday morning. The Rev. Colville is visiting friends in Strat.ford. "
