The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Ellerslie was well patronised, and some interesting figures are disclosed by the totalisator returns for 1911, contrasted with those of the two previous years. In 1909 the machine handled £42,994½ during the autumn meeting, and in 1910 the figures for this gathering were £34,348½. For the meeting just concluded the totalisator returns show a grand total of £67,096½, an increase of £32,748 over 1910, when £2029 10/ was received by way of bookmakers fees.
