April 4. Personal An interesting function took place at the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s Rooms on Monday last, Mr. W. D. Lysnar. Mayor of Gisborne, presiding, when Mr. F. H. W Traill, who is leaving for Adelaide, was presented with a gold sovereign ease and purse of nereigns from the citizens of Gisborne Mr. Traill left for Adelaide on Wednesday. Sister Paterson, who last Friday severed her connection with the Gisborne Hospital, was presented by the Matron and staff with some very handsome silver plate. Miss Paterson is to lie married shortly. and received the hearty congratulations of all. Mr and Mrs. Toisel. Miss Toi- I (East Coa-t ' left on Wednesday for England. Mr. and Mrs. Branson are at present Visiting Christchurch. Miss Margoiiouth < Napier t U. visiting her brother Mr. C. Margoiiouth, Gisborn- . Mesdames C and O. Sainsbury returned on Sunday from Rotorua. Elsa.
