April S. We hare had three Jays' rain this Week, and '.lie lawns in the Senator'um gardens have taken on their brightest greer. again. Everything is washed dean, and almost springlike. Visitors are arriving already for the Easter holidays, and 1 hear that boarding-houses are booked to their utmost. It is evidently to be a record Easter. Socially, w- are dead just now, but shall be gay enough presently. There is to be a tennis dance, just a simple affair, on (Easter Monday night, aud Mrs. F. London has issubd invitations'for a dance the following night in the Parish Hall. The Ma ori Mission choir still hold their concerts, and on Easter Monday and Tuesday they are giving special en tertainments. A Concert. Miss Amy Castles' concert on Friday evening was a huge success. A full hall greeted this young artist and her company. Amongst the audience were: — Mrs. Rhodes, Mrs. Glanville Hicks, Mrs. Frank Morton, Mrs Birks. Mrs, Gardner, Mrs. Ibbertson (Dunedin), Mrs. Jobson (Auckland), Mrs. Flower, Nurse Aicken, Mrs. Moorhouse, Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Maxwell. Mrs. Snodgrass, Nurse Butterworth. ’Miss Hawkesworth, Miss Empson. Mrs. Crowther, Mrs. Falloona, Miss Mair, Miss Burnett. Personal. Mrs. and Miss Browning (Remuera) are here. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Herries are here. Mrs. Ibbertson (Dunedin) is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Parata, at Rotorua. Mrs. Knight, at Dannevirke, has been in Rotorua lately. Dr. and Mrs. Humphrey Haines are fishing at Okere Falls.
