April 7. Bridge Party. Last Saturday evening Mrs C. Waney gave a most enjoyable bridge party In honour of Mrs A. D. Gray. The" prizes were won by Mrs Fitzherbert (first) and M iss Bradbury (second). The hostess received her guests in a soft cream crystalline, finished with folds of silk; Mrs Alexander, rich purple velvet, trimmed with lovely silver sequined trimming; Mrs A. D. Aliss Corkill left last week for Wellington, where she was to eatch the Ruahine for London. She was accompanied to Wellington by her father (Air. P. C. Corkill). Mrs. and Aliss G. Fookes (New Plymouth) have gone for a trip to Rotorua and Auckland. Mr. and Airs. A. D. Gray left last Afonday for their future home in Auckland. Airs. Crawford and Afrs. J. Harvey, who have been on a visit to Rotorua, have returned to New Plymouth. Air. and Airs. Quilliam are on a visit to Rotorua and Auckland.
