The supreme s’cp. however, w.i- taken by the State Legislature of Illinois, which solemnly passed nn ordinance forbidding women to wear in piibli*- u hut after all, a very sensible and not unbecoming costume compared with some of the ridiculous garbs in which would-be fashionable women have seen fit to array themselves.
