GISBORNE.

March 2. I have no social news to chronicle this week, with the exception of weddings, which ceremonies seem to be quite the order of the day in Gisborne. Personal. (Mrs. Russell Duncan (Hawke’s Bay) is at present .visiting friends in. Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs. P. Barker left on Wednesday last for a wedding tour to Sydney, thence to England for the Coronation festivities and a motor tour through England and the Continent. Colonel Gudgeon is at present visiting Gisborne. The Rev. Father Finn, of Gisborne, left for Auckland on Wednesday, to which district he has been appointed. Mr. Donaldson (Dunedin) is at present the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Symes (Gisborne).
