FEILDING.
February 4. Mrs. Lovett gave a -most enjoyable garden party at her residence “ Ratanui,” on Tuesday of last week. It was a glorrioirs day, and the garden looked beautiful. There were several competitions. The hostess received her guests in a
pretty frock of black and black picture hat; Mrs. Gill (Wellington) .wore a blak frock, pretty black bonnet; Misses Levett (2), pretty -white frocks; Mrs. Luxmore, grey dress, hat to match; Mrs. Banks, mauve coat and skirt, hat to ma tell; Mrs. Gillespie pink linen coat and skirt, burnt straw hat trimmed with black; Mrs. Horrocks, pale grey frock, black hat; Mrs. Beelie, pale blue silk frock trimmed with cream embroidery, large black hat; Mrs. Jacob, pretty frock of Paisley silk, black and white hat. Amongst the guests I noticed Mesdames Shannon, Mcßeth, Willis, Meyrick, Mayo, Conway, Hocking, Kidd, Baddeley, Callanan; Misses Bruce (2), Shannon, Bensham, Barnett (3) Wellingeon, and Williams (Tima.ru); also Messrs. Conway, Shannon (2), Bloxam, Baddeley, French, Mcßeth, Bailey, Meyrick (2). Jacob, Luxmore, and Banks. Personal. Mrs. Innes Jones and family have returned from the -seaside. Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson have returned from a holiday to Rona Bay. Miss J. Bruce has returned from a holiday at Plimmerton. Mr. and Mrs. Harper and family have returned from their holiday. Mrs. Bruce and family (Cheltenham) have gone to Day’s Bay. iMiss Prior has returned from Plimmerton. Miss Walker has gone to Day’s Bay to stay with Mrs. Bruce. Mrs. McCallum and children have gone to Foxton for a fortnight’s holiday.
