NAPIER.
November 2b. Rose and Sweet Pea Show. The great event of this week has been the rose and eweet pea show, held by the Napier Amateur Horticultural Society. Brown's trophy for the highest number of points in sweet peas. In the decorative classes there was much artistic arrangement. The first prize for a deeorated mantlepiece was won by Mrs. Hector Smith for a lovely grouping of orange lilies and African daisies. The eighteen decorated dinner tables were all very pretty, bowls of pink sweet peas a ad maple leaves arranged by Miss D. Rutherford gaining first prize.
