THE WEST END CLUB OPENS THE SEASON.

The West End Rowing Club celebrated their opening "Al Home" nt the Club House in St. Mary’s Bay. Auckland, on Saturday afternoon. Altogether 18 teams competed in the trial fours, rowed over a half mile course, for trophies presented by the clubs patron. Mr T. Peacock. The winning crew was as follows: C. C. Rae (stroke), S. Hazard, M. O’Connor, C. Cooke (cox. Elliott).
