THE ALL-ENGLAND LAWN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP.

The All England Lawn Tennis < *li:iinpion<hip Meeting which was played at Wimbledon. was quite an International affair. America. Germany. France, India. Australia and New Zealand sending representatives. The tinal was won by tin* famous New Zealand player, Anthony Wilding, who was in tine form throughout the meeting. The player on the left is Slrda Nahal Singh, the Indian representative, in the middle is 11. Roper Barrett (England), and on the right Anthony F. Wilding (New Zealand), the pt esent holder of the championship.

The misrepresentation of New Zealand in the larger countries of the world has broken out in quite a new form. From a full page illustration in the June number of ~T he World’s Work" (American edition), we reproduce the above together with the title appearing thereunder. It will come as a surprise to learn that we are policed by South Sea Island natives —at least that is what journalistic enterprise in the States apparently wishes Americans to believe, unless, of course, somebody has been doing a little wild and desperate guessing.
