CAMBRIDGE.
July 30. Kinking. Rinking has become all the rage here, and the Alexandra Hall is given ovtf to it, and is very well attended. On Monday evening a private rinking party was held, the men providing the hall and the skates, and the ladies ithe supper. It proved a great success, and it was decided to hold another in a fortnight. Amongst those present I noticed: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Banks, Mr. and Mrs. Sefton Banks, Mr. and Mrs. L. Peake, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Worsp, Mrs. Roberts, Misses Roberts (2), Taylor (2), Pickering (2), Gleeson, Cox (2), Clark, Middleton (2), Mrs. A. Gibbons, Misses Hally (3), Beale, B. Buckland, Dickenson (2), M. Hunter, and others. A Social.
On the same evening, a most enjoyable social was held by the Cambridge Musical Society in the supper-room of the new Town Hall. Songs, dancing, and games, and a very pleasant evening passed quickly away. Supper was provided by the ladies. At their next practice they are going to start rehearsing “H,M.s. Pinafore.”
ELSIE.
