Myere, Vice-president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Myers, and was born In Bailarat, in 18fl9, coming with his parents to New’ Zealand the same year. He is a director of the firm of the Campbell and Ehrenfried Co., Ltd., his co-directors being Sir John Logan Campbell and Mr. A. M. Myers. M.P. for Auckland East. Mr. Leo Myers was educated at the Mt. Cook Boys’ School and Wellington College, and was admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor at the age of 21. He was married in San Francisco to Miss Martha M. Shainwald. During the great boom of 1895, Mr. Myers was for tw’o years a member of tho Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and also joined “Karri” Davies’ Australian Mounted Infantry during the Jameson Raid. Since his school days Mr. Myers has always taken a keen interest in athletics.
