Memorial Services. Over five thousand persons attended a memorial service at Clive square, Napier, including a large number of Terri torials. At Gisborne there was a military’ procession, in which friendly societies and other organisations participated, followed by’ a memorial service. The memorial service at Woodville was attended by six thousand people. At Pahiatua there was a procession of local bodies, friendly societies, cadets, boy scouts, volunteers, etc., folowed bv a memorial service. A similar procession and service were held in the Square at Palmerston North. The memorial service at Wanganui brought together the largest gathering ever seen in the town, the city bands, veterans, territorials, boy scouts, cadets, and fire brigade and school children making a splendid display. Memorial services were also li.-ld at every other centre of population.
