The daily life of a King.
The daily round of the ruling sovereign in Britain for the greater part of the year consists in inaugurating all sorts of public functions, ceremonials, etc. The four photos, above illustrate typical events in the life of the late King Edward. (1) His Majesty yachting at Cowes accompanied by Admiral Sir John Fisher (on his right) and Royal visitors. (2) At Earl’s Court Exhibition in London. The King is accompanied by the Austrian ambassador. (3) A royal visit to the provinces. King Edward in Newcastle-on-Tyne. (4) The late sovereign and the Queen-Mother Alexandra on a visit to Dublin to open the Irish International Exhibition.
