School Picnics. I’ ..- school children held their annual school picnic to-day. They were taken in Mr J. Bell’s conveyances to the beach near the (ape Campbell lighthouse. and were accompanied by many of the parents. The children had a happy time racing and paddling in the water, and as the day was a perfect one tiie‘ outing was thoroughly enjoyed by their elder.- too. Church Meeting. The annual meeting of the congregation of the Church of the Epiphany was held at the Seddon Town Hall on Friday evening. The Rev. A. AV. Stace ; resided. The balance sheet for the year was read by Mr J. W. Humphreys. At the conclusion of the business, a pleasant time was spent by those present. Personal. Mis Smith (Wellington), who has been for some time the guest of her sister (Mrs IJhirid Fleming), «t IticUmond Brook, lias returned. Mr and Mrs F. Willis and family have left the Bolton, end have bought the property of Mrs Orchard, at Haldonroad. Sir XX". Andrews has returned from a long visit to Christchurch.
