Horton, 109—-12, 97; Mr. Louisson, 116 —lB, 98; Mr. Wyatt, 114—12, 102; Mr. Benjamin, 124—12, 104. Players are reminded that unless “cards” are handed in, handicaps are liable to be reduced.

Members of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club are reminded that entries for matches dose at the Golf House at five o'clock on Mondays before the match, and with the acting secretary, Miss Buller, on Wednesdays till five o’clock. The Eclectic Handicap match, for which Mrs Ernest Bloomfield is presenting a prize, starts on Thursday, 21st; second round, Thursday, 28th. The result of the second round of Mrs. Hope Lewis’ rose bowl competition, which was played on Monday, 18th, ■» »“ follows: — Waitemata. The Waitemata Ladies’ Golf Club had an opening day on Wednesday last. The weather was perfect. Some interesting games were played, and later in the afternoon a putting contest was held, which Miss Ethel Alison won. The prize, a silver hatpin, was presented by the captain (Miss Ivy Duder), who also gave delicious afternoon tea, which was much enjoyed. Cambridge. A most successful opening of the Golf Club was held on Wednesday. The weather was perfect, and there was a large gathering of members and friends. Dr. Roberts (president of the club) made a short opening speech. Delicious afternoon tea was provided by the lady members of the club, and the table decorations were arranged with the club colours. Mixed foursomes were the matches arranged for tho afternoon. Miss Willis and Mr. A. H. Nicol! were the winners with a gross score of 51 —• a very good round. The particulars of the play are as follows: —Miss Willis and A. H. Nicoll, gross score 51, handicap 9}, net score 41}; Miss London and N. M. Farnall, 60, B}, 51}; Miss Cox and E. J. Wilkinson, 64, 10, 54; Miss Brooks and McCormick, 59, 4}, 54}; Miss Gavey and E. W. Caddy, 59; Mrs. Bunyard and W. F. Buckland, 61; Mrs. Nicoll and R. A. Pyke, 61; Miss Richardson and J. G. Hindmarsh, 62}; Miss K. Willis and Dr. Roberts, 63}; Miss N. Pickering and B. Lewis, 64. Hawera. Last Tuesday the usual weekly competition was held, Mrs Bennett (Eltham) finishing one up on bogey. Toward the end of the afternoon very heavy rain fell, and only a few players were able to finish both rounds. Some of those on the links were: Mesdames McLean, Harrison (Eltham), Wallace, Bennett (Eltham), Hawken, Stewart, Misses Caplen (2), Pratt, Douglas, Coutts, Hamilton (2), Wake (Stratford ). Most of the members have been availing themselves of the services of Mr McEwen, an English professional, for the last fortnight. Hastings. A meeting of the lady members of the Hastings Golf Club was held on April 14. It was decided to form a ladies’ golf club and to affiliate with the New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. W. J. Douglas; vice-president, Mrs. H. E. Beamish; captain, Miss E. Baird'; hon. sec., Miss T. Baird; committee, Mesdanies McKibbin, Rainbow, Haise, Murray, and Miss R. Wellwood. It was decided to hold a competition on Tuesday ami ordinary play on Saturday. It was resolved that the colours be dark green, with red monogram, and the subscription 10/. Christchurch. A team from the Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club left for Wellington on Tuesday night to try conclusions with both Trentliam and Miramar, the result being that the Wellington teams beat Christchurch by one game. The Christchurch team consisted of Mrs Symons, Mrs Day, and Mrs Campbell, Misses Cowlishaw, Campbell, A. Humphreys, Symes, B. Wood, Harley, and Moore. The llagley Park Club will open their season on April 16th with mixed foursomes and a putting competition. The president (Mr G. Harris) offered prizes for the foursomes.
