Alareh 24. We have had quite a cold snap this week, as a warning of the approaching winter. Already there is talk of thq more strenuous pastimes of the wintes. season, and the hockey and golf clubs| have held their initial meetings. At thO moment of writing the weather looks ideal for Easter tide, and families are. busy planning outings for the holidays. Air. and Airs. Tregear, of WeTlingtoff, are visiting friends in Napier. Airs, and Aliss Busby, and Airs. Davis Canning were in town during the week. Air. and Airs. Harold Heather, of Auckland, are spending a holiday in Napier. Airs. Balfour has returned from a holiday at Taupo. Airs. Veitch, of Norsewood, is spendin® a holiday in Napier, and is at present staying with Airs. Kinross AA’hite, Bluff Hill, Airs. F. C. Perry has gone for a trip tot Sydney. She is accompanied by he?, father, Air. G. P. Donnelly. Dr. and Airs. Henley have returned from a holiday at Taupo. Aliss Floss*Hamlin, who has recently returned from a holiday in Auckland and Rotorua with Airs. Perry, is visiting friends in the AVairarapa. Air. and the Alisses Kensington, of Wellington. made a short stay here last week on their way to Taupo.
