HAMILTON.
March 18. Tennis Match. On Saturday last' a number of the members of the Hamilton Tennis ( lub journeyed to Te Awamutu to play a match with the local team. The day was a gloriously tine one, so buggies were engaged, and an early start made, and the long drive through the gloriously open Waikato country was thoroughly appreciated. Afternoon tea was kindly provided by the reception committee of the local club. The following are details of the various sets, Hamilton players being mentioned first in each case: — Ladies’ Singles.— Mrs. McCarthy 7, v. Miss N. Bond 4: Miss Wilkinson 7, v. Miss B. The Whitiora Bowling ( lub sent two rinks of their players to Te Awamutu on Saturday last, when they were sue cessful in defeating the local players. A very pleasant afternoon was spent. Hamilton girls are somewhat disappointed to learn that I’he annual ball of the 2nd Regiment of Auckland Mount ed Rilles is to be held in Cambridge
this year. A strong ladies’ committee has Ix'f’n formed, however, composed of ladies from both places, so we are sure that an enjoyable function will be the result. ZILLA.
