LAUNCH OF THE “GOSHAWK,” AT AUCKLAND.
The new vehicular ferry steamer, built by Mr G. T. Niccol, to the order of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company Auckland was launched on Saturday, and christened the Goshawk. She is of the double ended ferry boat type, and is very stromdv built fur the heavy work she will be called upon to do, which includes the transport of vehicular traffic. ° J
ITie new courthouse, erected at Waipiro Bay, East Coast, by the Public Works Department.
The Auckland electric cars carried an enormous number of people to Alexandra Park on the second day of the A. and P. Show, but during the afternoon the power failed for some time, resulting in a long string of cars loaded with people being "hung up.”
The Doll’s Stall, which was under the direction of Mrs T. Ilarle Giles.
