NEW PLYMOUTH.
November 19. Euchre Party. Last Thursday evening Miss Geraldine Kyngdon gave a most enjoyable euchre party at her home in Lemon-street. There were six tables, and prizes were won by Miss Brewster and Mr. Gordon Fraser. A most recherche supper was served in the dining-room, the table decorations being bowls of roses. Amongst those present were: Mrs. Kyngdon, navy blue taffetas with cream lace yoke; Miss G. Kyngdon, white silk with scarlet Directoire sash; Miss Leatham, pale blue peau de soie with berthe of cream lace; Mrs. McGinnerty, cream silk, semi-Empire, trimmed with silver embroidery; Miss Saxton, pale blue silk skirt with cream laee blouse, embroidered with blue silk; Miss Brewster, cream crepe de chine, corsage relieved with scarlet roses; Miss D. Bedford, white silk; Miss Fitzherbert, pale green and white striped taffetas, finished with deep silk fringe on corsage; Miss Cormack (Carterton), pale pink taffetas, trimmed with a darker shade; Miss Blundell, white muslin, pale ceinture and ribbon in coiffure; Miss Sclanders (Nelson), French blue silk, tucker and sleeves of white chiffon, embroidered in pale blue; Miss G. Roy, rose pink muslin, silk folded belt; Miss L. Brown, white muslin, tucked and triinmed with lace; Miss S. Capel, cream and pale blue spotted taffetas blouse, black silk skirt; Miss Robinson, vieux rose silk, cream lace yoke. Personal. Mrs. Harold Thomson (Inglewood) is visiting her mother, Mrs. Dargaville (Auckland). The Rev. Spencer, Curate of Holy Trinity Church, Te Henui, who has been under a very serious operation for appendicitis, is now progressing favourably. Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Evans, who have been on a short visit to Auckland, have returned to New Plymouth. Mr. H. Bedford returned to New Plymouth last week after his pleasant trip to Rotorua and Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander, of Moturoa, have gone for a trip to Auckland.
