It is said that a new supply of radium has been discovered by Portugal by Thomas H. V. Bower, a member of the American Institute of Mechanical Engineers. A certain stream, the name of which is not disclosed, was reputed to have therapeutic properties. Mr. Bower followed the stream to its source, and discovered that it ran over a bod ot uranium phosphate.
