Rose, Mme. Jules Gravereaux.
Mme. Jules Gravereaux requires to ba well disbudded, or the blooms will ■come out second-rate. This disbudding should be done immediately the tiny buds are seen round the central one. Should this central bud appear to be imperfect, it should be removed, and the best of the others retained. The young growths that sprout out all up the stems should also be suppressed, then really magnificent blooms are obtained, provided the plants are liberally fed with liquid manure or by applications of manure to the soil in good time to be of service to the plants. The colour is a lovely buff shade, with tints of llesh-pink. The flowers are verv solid, with tine long buds. The reddish growth adds no little beauty to the variety when seen in goodly numbers.
