WHAT IS GERMANY DOING IN THE PACIFIC?
The expedition recently landed at both Levuka and Suva, and were observed making plans and surveys of the towns and coast line of the islands. The real object of this “scientific” expedition is apparently a matter for conjecture according to our correspondent in Fiji, whose article appears on page 15.

On board the Natuna talking to one of the members of the German “scientific” expedition, which recently visited Fiji and other islands in the Pacific. The nature of the information the expedition acquired, caused some comment among the residents.
