PALMERSTON NORTH— THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SHOW TOWN IN THE DOMINION. Tiiv seventh -how of the National Dairy Association was opened last week at Palmerston North by the Minister for .Agriculture (Hon. T. McKenzie). The inauguration of the great winter carnival, which every year now draw- thousands of people to Palmerston North, was made by tin members of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, whose spring show vies with Christchurch for premier position in the Dominion. Palmerston North is a flourishing centre at the heart of one ot the richest agricultural and dairying districts, not merely in New Zealand, but in the world itself. Its splendid shows are a monument to the foresight and public spirit of the leading men of the district.
