At the Cornwall Park links on Saturday the play-off for the Fry trophy (Auckland Coif Club), Colbeek, 1 down on bogey, beat Kirker, 3 down. Further matches in the captain’s prize were decided. Championship Meeting. The ladies’ annual championship meeting will be held this year on the Hokowhitu links, Palmerston North, commencing on Wednesday, the 18th August. Manawatu Club. The annua] meeting of the lady associates was held during the Easter holidays. The annual report was considered very satisfactory. The election of officers resulted in Mrs Warburton being elected captain and Mrs Mellsop secretary; the members of the committee being Mrs Innes and Mrs Porritt, with one vacancy to be filled. Ladies’ Golf Union. The latest clubs to join the Union are Ashburton, Nelson and Temuka. This brings the New Zealand branch up to 24 Clubs, ‘ just double what it was 18 months ago/ Ffrveral clubs have made inquiries from the secretary of tho branch, and are now considering tho matter. Recent reports from Australia show that the Victorian branch of tho Union now consists of 18 clubs, with a memborehip aggregating between 1000 and 1100.

Nga Motu Club. Miss Stephenson, who formerly held the record for the links, has now reduced the record by one point, doing the 13 holes in 91, the par of the green being 82. Bronze Medals. Two further clubs in Danncvirke and Poverty Bay have signified their intention of competing for bronze medals.
