AFRICA.
Federated South Africa. The Cape Assembly has. by 53 votes to 47. negatived a recommendation further entrenching upon the native franchise in the Federal Constitution. Many members of the Afrikander Bond supported the recommendation. I'he House of Assembly of Cape Colony Las passed the Union Constitution, amid cheers.
The Natal Assembly has adopted the Federal Constitution.
