March 27. On Thursday evening a very enjoyable euchre party was given by Mrs. Aliek Glasgow at the “Haere-mai” tearooms. There were eleven tables, and the first prizes were won by Miss HouJker and Mr. Gordon Richmond, and Miss Sclanders and Mr. H. Clark won the second prizes. Mr. and Mrs. Selfe, of Cable Bay, have left Nelson for England to the regret of their many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe, of Perth, have been spending some weeks in Nelson with their children. The Hons. W. and T. Douglas (Scotland), who have come to Nelson for some deer-stalking, are now ehooting at Red Hills. Colonel Moore (England) has arrived In Nelson for some deer-stalking and trout fishing. Mrs. Theodore Harper is staying with her mother, Mrs. Hunter Brown, at “Long Look Out.” DOLCE.
