Thames. The final match for the cup was played out on Saturday between United and Tararu. and resulted iu a win for Tararu by an tunings aud 19 runs. United were all disposed of for 11. making a poor stand against the bowling of Gordon, Newman, and Dare. Tararu knocked up 85 runs for the los< of five wickets, when they closed. Brown (20, Dare (14 not onti, Pedley (12), and Peters (10 not out) were the principal scorers. In their second innings United made 55 runs (Morwick 18). Tararu thus wins the cup for the third time in succession. Hamilton. East A and Kia Kaha concluded their match at Steele Park on Saturday. Ideal weather prevailed for the ninth round of grade matches, which were commenced on Saturday at Hag'ey Park. Riccarton gfiained a strong position against West Christchurch, while Sydenham appear to have -a little the better of the deal with St. Albans. At Lancaster Park, Linwood monopoliser! the wicket all the afternoon against East Christchurch, putting up the fine score of 314 for nine wickets. The scores are: Rjecarton 259 (A. Anthony 86), v. West Christchurch 13 for one wicket. St. Albans 175 (H. A. Bishop 85). v. Sydenham 75 for three wickets. Linwood 314 for nine wickets (J. W. Lawrence 85, A. E. Ridley 50), v. East Christchurch. Otago. The cricket matches were continued on Saturday, in perfect weather. Dunedin (374) beat Carisbrook A on the first innings. The latter made 264 (Blamires 103, and Hopkins 63 and 57 for two wickets. Albion defeated Carisbrook B by 56 runs on the first innings. The former made 200 (McFarlane 110 and 240 for seven wickets (McFarlane 126 qot out), and Carisbrook made 144 iu the fisrt Innings. Grange v. Opoho resulted in a win for Grange by 91 runs.
