RETIRED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE. A famous Admiral, Lord Charles Beresford, whose retirement from the Channel Fleet is announced this week. “Fighting Charlie,” and Admiral Sir John Fisher, the First Sea Lord, have not, it is well-known in navy circles, been in accord on all points for months past. Lord Charles Beresford merely contents himself with saying, “My business is to obey orders.”
