French doctors have found an ingenious, but simple, remedy for fractures, in the use of aluminium nails. For » simple fracture of the shinbone or of the thigh-bone a nail of nickel aluminium or magnesium is driven iu to hold the two pieces together. Nails of ivory and bone hare been Used, but it has been discovered that the aluminium and magnesium nails are absorbed by the system after they bar* performed their function.
