Mary’s Little Lamb.
The story of Mary and her little {amb, whose escapades every child in the nursery knows by heart now seems likely to become an actual feature in English rural life, remarks a Home paper.
Mr. Albert Jamraeh, the famous animal expert, has imported some picturesque pigmy sheep from Orenberg in Siberia
These little creatures stand only thirteen inches high at the shoulder, but otherwise resemble their larger brethren.
In constitution they are extremely hardy, and can easily stand tho vagaries of the English climate. White and black are the more common colours of their fleece, but browns, greys, and spotted varieties are also numerous.
For the table they aro somewhat luxurious damtiea of similar taste to the ordinary sheep, but it is not for this purpose that they have been imported.
Several of these novel park ornaments have already been purchased by members of the Royal Family. The pigmy sheep umy be purchased nt £3 each.
