Last Friday evening the Freemason’s Halt was taxed to its utmost when the final of a series of Miss Bedford’s Cinderella dances eventuated, and it took the form of - • ' 'j l ' - , A POWDER AND PATCH BALL. > The floor was in perfect order, and Mrs. W. Wood’s orchestra supplied the music, in fact nothing seemed to mar the enjoyment of the evening; the men as well as the girls entering into everything so thoroughly and extremely well all • looked. The men, to make themselves look more in keeping with the quaint dressing of the girls, had the revers and cuffs of their coats faced with different coloured silk, and . with powdered hair and patches; looked extremely handsome.
