FOOTBALL.
The receipts of the A.R.U. have been considerable this season, but according to a statement made by the treasurer, Mr. F. £?. Murray, at the last meeting of the committee, the expenditure has been exceedingly heavy, and it is doubtful if the net proceeds of the year’s workings will be more than about £4OO. This statement caused considerable surprise among members of the committee, one of whom said he had thought they would make a clear profit of something like £lOOO.
