THE HON. EVA ST. JOHN.
Youngest daughter of Lord St. John of Bletso. The barony of St. John of Bletso is a very old one, having been conferred in 1558, but the family trace their descent to Roger de Beauchamp, an eminent soldier at the time of Edward III., Chamberlain of the Household, and Captain of Calais. The second baron was one of the peers who sat on the trial of Mary Queen of Scots. The present holder of the title is Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, and has four sons and eight daughters.
