Dear Bee, August 7. On Wednesday the Wanganui Orchestral Society gave THE FIRST CONCERT OF THE SEASON in the Opera House. There was a large and enthusiastic audience, and the concert was a most enjoyable one. Amongst those present were Mrs. A. Hatherley wore a black silk frock with bolero of silk edged with silk fringe, and vest of filet net, shoulder scarf of eream silk lace. PERSONAL ITEMS. Miss McDonnell, of Auckland, was the guest of Mrs. Lomax in Wanganui last week. Mr. and Mrs. Balharry, of New Plymouth, have been staying in Wanganui recently. Mrs. and Miss Cutfield, of Wanganui, left this week for Auckland, where they will be present for the Fleet festivities. Miss Rene Jones, of Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs. Gore Gillon in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Imlay Saunders, of Wanganui, left this week for Christchurch, where they will attend the Grand National Race Meeting,
