SCRATCHING BOARD AT SHANGHAI RACECOURSE.
The appointments are all of the most up-to-date description, ami big prize money is given at the meetings. There is a very fashionable gathering of Europeans, and on race days the lawn is a most remarkable sight. The Chinese do not mix with the foreigners, but are compelled to occupy a separate enclosure further along the course, which is shown in another photograph.
