ARBER—KENNEDY. very pretty wedding was celebrated in the Napier Cathedral, when Miss Dulcie Kennedy, a very popular Napier girl, was married to Mr. George Newall Arber, of Hamilton. The bride looked charming in a dainty ninon de soie over white glaee silk, trimmed with beautiful white lace; she wore a beautiful Honiton lace veil, lent by Lady Whitmore, and carried a lovely shower bouquet. She was given away by her brother (Mr. Frank Kennedy, of Gisborne). Mr. Arber was supported by Mr. J. Parker and Mr. F. Raven. The four bridesmaids, Miss Kennedy and Miss A. Kennedy (sisters), Miss Thompson, of Christchurch (niece), and Miss Veda Kennedy (Wellington) (cousin), wore smart costumes of white cloth, short cut-away coats with pale pink brocade waistcoats and touches of black, pale pink picture hats, trimmed with pink and white roses and touches of black velvet; they carried shower bouquets of pink roses. Afterthe ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, and was attended by relations and a few intimate friends. Mrs. Kennedy (mother of the bride) wore a handsome <lress of black glaee silk, trimmed with cream lace, black lace bonnet with mauve roses, and carried a violet bouquet; Mrs. F. Kennedy (Gisborne), white and black silk, white furs, black picture hat; Mrs. Arthur Kennedy, black taffeta, bodice trimmed with eream lace and touches of pink, pink picture hat; Mrs. Wood (Christchurch), cornflour blue taffeta, touches of pale pink, brown ostrich boa, brown hat, trimined with blue forget-me-nots; Mrs. Thompson (Christchurch), black taffetas, white laee under-bodice, trimmed with pale blue velvet, white feather stole, smart vieux blue floral hat; Mrs. W. Kennedy (Wellington), black and white taffeta, lavender floral toque, violet bouquet; Mrs. Macflardy, pale blue cloth, large blue velvet ’plumed, picture hat, white feather stole; Miss Mackenzie, rose pink cloth, rose pink floral picture hat; Mrs. Dixon, .silver grey ninon de soie, trimmed with lavender floral taffeta, lavender and white picture hat; Mrs. Levien, white cloth costume, white lace blouse, becoming white picture hat, covered with soft white feathers, brown furs; Miss Williams, chocolate brown coat and skirt, trimmed with white and gold, pretty brown and violet picture hat; Mrs. Mayne, white doth costume, black picture hat; Mrs. Baxter, navy blue cut-away tailor-made coat and skirt, blue picture hat with wreath of pink roses; Mrs. A. Saxbv, golden brown costume, brown velvet toque, brown furs; Mrs. Maclernon, navy blue taffeta, blue toque, trimmed with feathers; Mrs. Parker, black brocade, black and white bonnet; Mrs. Balfour, brown costume, brown and fawn hat; Mrs. Johnson, grey and violet coat and
skirt, violet toque; Mrs. Crawshaw, sage green cloth, green felt toque, white furs; Mrs. Duncan, black silk; Mrs. Gallien, black silk voile, trimmed with violet, lavender floral bonnet; Miss Gretchen Kennedy, white muslin, scarlet sash; Messrs. Webb (Wellington), Morley, Levien, Williams, Rev. Canon Mayne, W. Kennedy, A. A. Kennedy, Raven, Parker, Masters J. D. and R. Kennedy.
