Prizes are offered for the Best ORIGINAL SET OF CENTO VERSES, of from four to sixteen lines, (lento Verses, or Mosaics, are formed by the arranging together of separate lines from different authors, so as to rhyme, anil also to read coherently. The effect may be either serious or ludicrous. The following is an example: — “ Will ye one transient ray of gladness dart, To bid the genial tear of pity flow?” “ By Heaven! I had rather coin my heart— Or Mr. Miller’s, commonly called Joe! ” The authors’ names should be given, if possible. This is a fascinating exercise for lovers of poetry.
