Now I venture to say that, if the Government had, in connection with such a question as, say. the Bible in Schools, taken the same action that they took in reference to the Land Bill, without the measure having been referred to the country at all, or the people consulted in any way, there would have been a tremendous row from one end of the colony to the other.— Mr. F.
