IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS IN NAPIER SOUTH.
1 lie reclamation ot the swamps adjoining and to the south ot Napier has been one of the most successful engineering works ever attempted m New Zealand. There has been a transformation from a lake, upon which boat races were held to solid alluvial land from two to six feet above the highest spring tide level. Some 300 acres of the newly-reclaimed land, now known as Napier South, are included in a line drawn from one portion of the Borough to the other.’
