POLICY OF GERMANY. MOROCCO AND PERSIA. STATEMENT BY FOREIGN MINISTER. Herr von Schon, German Minister for Foreign Affairs, speaking before the Budget Committee of the Reichstag, acknowledged the straightforward declarations of M. Pickton (French Foreign Minister) on the French policy in Morocco. With regard to the Bagdad Railway, Germany fostered the undertaking purely for economic reasons. He ridiculed tue fantastic reports that they contemplated the seizure of a harbour on the Persian Gulf.
