The Rev. Thomas Spurgeon, owing to 111 health, has resigned the pastorship of the Metropolitan Tabernacle. (The Rev. Thomas Spurgeon, a twin
son of the late Rev. C. H. Spurgeon, has been pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle since 1894. He visited Australia in 1877 and again in 1879, and accepted the pastorate of the Baptist Church, Auckland, in 1881. He was Evangelist of the New Zealand Baptist Union from 188993.]
