CINEMATOGRAPH PICTURES TAKEN FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SOUTH POLE DISCOVERY SHIP NIMROD AND HER DEPARTURE FROM LYTTLETON.
The pictures were taken by Mr Donald, the Government cinematograph photographer. They will be sent with views of New Zealand to various parts of the world. Careful examination shows the slight differences of pose, which makeup the '•moving picture" when put through the Biograph. 1, 2.3. show the reception and departure of Admiral and Lady Fawkes, by Lieutenant Shackleton. 4, The Manchurian ponies being taken on board. 5, Nimrod casting off. 6, Nimrod leaving the wharf.
